Before learning about NAMI, I knew nothing about mental illness. When my son got sick, I found a NAMI Family-to-Family Class. It COMPLETELY changed the lens through which I saw mental illness.
To this day, I credit that class for helping to stabilize my entire family and save my son, my marriage, and my wellbeing.
I cannot stress enough - if you have a loved one diagnosed with a mental illness, PLEASE take the Family-to-Family class. It's a literal life-saver!
